We’d love to have you join us.

We would be honored to have you as our guest! Below is where we meet, what time we meet, and some general information about our church that we hope will be helpful before you come worship with us. If you have any questions, please reach out to one of our pastors!

Location: Livermore City Hall (105 W 3rd Street, Livermore KY 42352). Come in through the main door on the north side of the building. (There will be a Harvest sign right next to the entrance).

Parking: You can either park on the streets surrounding city hall, or in the parking lots on the south or west sides of the building. Handicap parking is located directly in front of the main entrance.

Service Times:

Bible Study: 9AM. We currently have a men’s class and women’s class that meets an hour before the Gathering for focused discussion, prayer, and study of the Bible. Anyone is welcome to attend.

Sunday Gathering: 10AM. Services are usually finished before 11:30, and you’re welcome to stay around and talk after the service.

Dress, Music, and What to Expect

Dress: We encourage people to wear whatever makes them most comfortable. Jesus is far more concerned with what's on the inside than the outside (1 Samuel 16:7). You'll find people at Harvest wearing casual and formal clothes and everything in between.

Music: We sing a mix of contemporary and traditional songs led by musicians and singers that call Harvest home. We're more concerned with letting the people that God has led to Harvest lead worship than we are playing a certain genre of music. We also believe that what the songs say is far more important than when the song was written. When we sing, we welcome you to worship however you're comfortable and feel led. You may be invited to stand before we begin a song. Please take this as an invitation and not a requirement: if you're not able or don't feel comfortable standing, you do not have to.

We read a lot of Scripture. Everything we do at Harvest is based on the Bible, and we want to give God's Word center stage. You're invited to read the portions of Scripture that are underlined in your bulletin aloud with the rest of the church.

For instruction, our normal practice is to preach through books of the Bible. The pastor's primary responsibility is teaching (2 Timothy 4:1-2), and we want to equip you for the work of ministry (Ephesians 4:11-12). Our sermons are designed to teach you how to study the Bible as well as teach the Bible. We encourage you to take notes and write down any questions that come up during the service. Our pastors would love the opportunity to talk to you about those questions after the service.

Kids: During our Sunday Gathering, we let the kids stay out with their families during the first part of the service. Right before the sermon begins, children fifth grade and down are dismissed to Family Ministry, where they will receive age-appropriate education from trained and background checked volunteers. Note: sending your child to Family Ministry is voluntary. We love having kids in the main gathering and encourage parents to do what they think is best for their family.

Order of Service

Our order of service varies slightly from Sunday to Sunday, but generally we follow a pattern that leads us through the good news of what Jesus has done. Every part of our service may contain Scripture, prayer, congregational reading, or singing. It usually looks something like this:

Call to worship: We prepare our hearts for worship by reminding ourselves of the God that we've gathered to worship.

Confession of Sin: We take time to silently confess where we've fallen short and ask God for forgiveness.

Assurance of Pardon: We remind ourselves of who Jesus is, what he has done, and the fact that we are saved from the consequences of sin if we look to Jesus as our Savior.

Instruction: We listen to a sermon for the purpose of learning the Bible as well as learning how to study the Bible.

Intercession: We take time to pray for those in our life who don’t have a relationship with Jesus.

Lord's Supper: We celebrate what Jesus has done by eating bread and drinking grape juice, which represent the broken body and shed blood of Jesus Christ. By taking the elements we're demonstrating our allegiance to Jesus and declaring his sacrifice as sufficient to cleanse us from our sins.

Benediction: We worship God and thank him for our time together, and encourage one another with Scripture before we leave.
